The docufilm \u201c<\/span>The Letter\u201d with subtitles in Hungarian was presented in Budapest on April 19<\/b>, in an event promoted by the <\/span>Caritas in Veritate Commission of the Hungarian Catholic Bishops’ Conference <\/b>and the <\/span>Hungarian Order of the Society of Jesus<\/b>, with organization by the <\/span>Ferenc Faludi Jesuit Academy<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Before the movie screening, participants were greeted by <\/span>G\u00e1bor Nevel\u0151s SJ<\/b>, host of the presentation, <\/span>Zolt\u00e1n Koronkai SJ<\/b>, on behalf of the Hungarian Jesuit order, and <\/span>Bishop J\u00e1nos Sz\u00e9kely<\/b>, President of the Caritas in Veritate Commission. After the Bishop\u2019s speech, Zsanett Banlaki of the Caritas in Veritate Commission read the text of the videomessage prepared for the event by <\/span>Cecilia Dall’Oglio<\/b>, Associate Director of European Programs of the Laudato Si’ Movement (<\/span>here<\/span><\/a> her videomessage)<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"Among participants in the event: Lajos Varga, assistant bishop of V\u00e1c; G\u00e1bor N\u00e9meth, office director of the Secretariat of the Bishops\u2019 Conference; Emma N\u00e9meth SSS, head of the Hungarian Women’s Order Conference; Marianna Barcs\u00e1k, head of the Catholic Pedagogical Institute (KaPi) and many monks and lay believers committed to the protection of creation.<\/span><\/p>\n

Film screening was followed by a round table discussion with <\/span>Bishop J\u00e1nos Sz\u00e9kely<\/b>, <\/span>G\u00e1bor Nevel\u0151s SJ<\/b>, Jesuit representative of the JTMR-FFJA Comprehensive Ecology Workshop, <\/span>Prof. Dr. J\u00f3zsef Benedek<\/b>, head of the JTMR-FFJA Comprehensive Ecology Workshop, <\/span>Dr. Eszter Szab\u00f3<\/b>, Laudato Si Animator Training Coordinator.<\/span><\/p>\n

Sponsors of the screening were Association Canticle of the Sun (Naphymnusz Egyes\u00fclet), Salesians, EcoOne\/Focolare Movement, 72 Disciples Movement, Hungarian Scout Association, R\u00e1di\u00f3 M\u00e1ria, Pannonhalmi Archabbey, Magyar Kur\u00edr, Catholic Pedagogical Institute.<\/span><\/p>\n

The event was promoted as an opportunity of\u00a0 spiritual preparation <\/span>for the apostolic visit of Pope Francis to Hungary (Budapest) happening from 28 to 30 April<\/b> (<\/span>link<\/span><\/a>) and follows a growing collaboration of the Laudato Si\u2019 Movement with the HUngarian Catholic Bishops\u2019 Conference and Ass. Canticle of the Sun.\"\"<\/span><\/p>\n

The <\/span>Laudato Si\u2019 Movement<\/b> together with the <\/span>Caritas in Veritate Commission of the Hungarian Catholic Bishops\u2019 Conference<\/b> and the <\/span>Canticle of the Sun Association promoted last year the first \u201cLaudato Si\u2019 Animators Training Program\u201d in Hungarian language, <\/b>and have recently launched<\/span> the second edition <\/b>that started on April 13. The program of the sessions is available on the\u00a0 Laudato Si\u2019 Animators<\/span> webpage<\/span><\/a> in Hungarian. Among speakers, \u00dcrge-Vorsatz Diana, vice-president of IPCC.<\/span><\/p>\n

To implement<\/span> the LSA program in Hungary, a partnership in a synodality style of working together for a Church to be a sacrament of care was established. In Hungary, the training is held in collaboration with Franciscans, EcoOne\/Focolare Movement, 72 Disciples Movement, Salesians, Hungarian Scout Association, R\u00e1di\u00f3 M\u00e1ria, Pannonhalmi Archabbey, School Sisters of Our Lady, Faludi Ferenc Akad\u00e9mia, which represent the diversity and richness of charisms in the Church, walking together to live Laudato si\u2019 in Hungary in their own networks. <\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"These organizations, together with Magyar Kur\u00edr and Catholic Pedagogical Institute, are now supporting <\/span>community screenings of the docufilm \u201cThe Letter\u201d.<\/b> The Association Canticle of the Sun is leading this effort.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
